What Speedy Invoice does with your data
Speedy Invoice runs entirely in your browser. When you fill in your company details, client information, or line items, that data is never sent to a server — there is no backend that receives, stores, or processes it. The invoice preview and PDF are both generated locally on your device.
Local storage (autosave)
To save you re-typing your details, Speedy Invoice stores your invoice data — company info, client info, line items, logo, and appearance preferences — in your browser's local storage, on your device only. This data:
- Is never transmitted anywhere
- Stays on the device and browser you used
- Is cleared if you clear your browser's site data, or if you use a different browser or device
Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how many people visit Speedy Invoice and which pages they view. Umami is cookieless — it does not use cookies, does not store personal identifiers, and does not track you across other websites. The information collected is aggregate only: page views, referring sites, and general browser/device type. It cannot be used to identify you personally, and it is entirely separate from anything you type into your invoice, which never leaves your browser.
We also record two simple, anonymous counts through the same service: how many times the "Download as PDF" button is used, and how many times the "Print" button is used. These are just totals — no invoice content, file, or personal data is attached to them.
Advertising
Speedy Invoice is free to use and is supported by advertising. We work with third-party ad providers who may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. These providers may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, and browsing activity across sites, in accordance with their own privacy policies.
The content you type into your invoice (company names, client details, line items) is never shared with ad providers — that data never leaves your browser in the first place.
You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser's cookie settings, or through tools like Google's Ads Settings if Google-served ads are used on this site.
Cookies
Our analytics provider (Umami) does not use cookies. Beyond any cookies set by advertising providers described above, Speedy Invoice itself does not use cookies for tracking.
Children's privacy
Speedy Invoice is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your rights
Because your invoice data never leaves your device, there is no server-side copy for us to export or delete on your behalf — clearing your browser's local storage removes it completely. Changes to this policy
If how Speedy Invoice handles data changes — for example, if accounts or server-side storage are introduced in the future — this page will be updated accordingly.
